Editorial policy
Local Current Review aims to publish clear, careful explanations of local places and the ways people make sense of them. Accuracy and transparency matter more than a neat story.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates, descriptions and other factual details against suitable source material before publication. We distinguish documented information from interpretation, avoid presenting a map or label as a complete account, and make uncertainty visible when the available information does not settle a point.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and the publication's subject. A commercial relationship does not buy favourable coverage or control over independent editorial decisions.
Corrections
Readers can flag a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, verifiable concerns and correct material errors clearly; when a change affects the meaning of a piece, we explain the correction in the article.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are labelled as such and are not presented as documentary evidence.
